Branching Campaigns (Projects)

Client Eddie Bauer is currently using the Projects plugin. They're planning a series of campaigns that will build on top of each other and release each subsequent day. 

Project 1 (12/25) contains changes to Core.
Project 2 (12/26) contains Project 1's changes and its own changes.
Project 3 (12/27) contains Project 1 and 2 changes and its own changes.

Due to these projects not yet having been merged to Core as they're scheduled campaigns, the subsequent project does not include the changes. 

Recommended improvement to the tool is to allow users to branch from any other project just as they would in a git repo. This would allow them to create these campaigns much easier. There are certain workarounds to this that require additional actions but this would be a nice feature to have included.
