Editing: mandatory field should check whether contents isn't empty

A mandatory field should have a red start next to it, indicating it is mandatory (ie, not left empty).

When a field is left empty, a dialog should popup that says: "Whoops! Some data is missing.. Please make sure you checked all mandatory fields."
With just an "Ok" button.
Don't close the doc before all mandatory fields are filled in.
