List available document types and fields in dropdowns in News channel manager component

Create project from archetype 4.0.0.
Build & run.
Using Essentials, add News feature.
Stop, rebuild & run.
Log in to CMS.
Go to channel manager.
Add News List component to container on homepage.
In component configuration dialog, you must enter one or more news document types as comma separated list of jcr node type names.
Also, optionally, you can enter a date field name, again this must be a jcr property name.
Relying on the knowledge of low level jcr node type and property names is poor usability.

Suggested improvement:
List all available document types in a dropdown or multiselect box, so the user can simply select one or more and doesn't need to know any low level jcr node types.
Once the document type has been selected, populate date field dropdown with selected document types' fields.
