Navigation from the channel manager takes time

Under the following scenario:

Given user logs in as editor
Given user looks at the "Channels" perspective
Given user navigates to channel Hippo Acceptance Project
Given user clicks on faq menu item
Given user clicks on the component "Faq"
When user adds variant "Dutch"
And user selects goal "Goal 1" in widget
And user saves the configuration
And user closes component properties dialog
And user publish changes
And user switches to Channel Overview page in Channel Manager

navigation take time which is caused by the long beforeNavigation() API invocation resolution. Investigate the problem to reduce the navigation time.
