Validation message for image field disappears with a delay

Scenario:

1. Use required image link, open the document in visual editor
2. Make image field invalid
3. Select some image  and ok the dialog

Problem: There is several seconds of delay for validation message to disappear from the field.

Expected: message should disappear right after dialog is closed.
